All the admin are responsible for regularly posting threads on the forum and the Facebook group. They have the authority to edit or delete posts and lock, unlock, move, delete and split topics in the forum. They all help to stimulate debate and discussion amongst the community and to prevent users from going off-topic or posting abusive or offensive material. Other moderating duties includes updating and managing the Steam groups when needed. They all expected to create content, e.g. graphics, text, reviews, tech guides, strategy guides, for the website.
Each member of the admin staff help to enforce and uphold the server and admin rules while on the game servers. They have access to all the admin commands for every game servers which we run, giving them the ability to kick, ban, and to give warning to anyone who are breaking the server rules. Those admin who are capable, update and restart the game servers when required.
All Administrators have overlapping roles for the most part. If you have any questions, ideas or concerns, please refer to the forum first. As there’ll be a thread or section on there, somewhere, that will deal with your inquiry. If the forum is unhelpful and/or you feel that a issue need to be address as once, (.e.g. someone breaking the server rules), then please refer the respective staff member.

Both co-founders’ tasks cover a wide range of things. They are the server managers for all the game servers, as well as the managers for the website, forum and Steam groups. They both create graphics work and content for the website, and setting up any new sections and features.
The co-founders are the other ones who can give admin rights, or revoke them in the case of someone leaving the admin staff or have a suspension of their rights following a discipline.
The Chief of Staff is the link between the Executive and all the other admin. Their role is to co-ordinate efforts and tasks around the admin staff. Most problems can be solved at this level. The Chief of Staff is also there to consult on any new ideas or projects for the community, before bringing them to the attention of the Executive. He has a very good knowledge to what is happening within the community.
Responsible for organising and running community events. Focus on ways to improve our game servers, increase their usage and how to promote our game servers to the gaming community.
They also managed the junior admin, making sure they help out populating the servers. Their duties also cover the recruitment of new admin. The event managers, with the help of the junior admin, develop and train any new junior admin to use the game servers, forum and Steam groups.
The Chief Webmasters, Website Managers and the Web Administrator form the Web Team, who are responsible for the development and maintenance of the website (i.e. WordPress, forum and Wiki).
The Web Team ensures the website is operating correctly. They are responsible for the design of the website, generating and revising web pages, installing and setting up new features, and examining traffic through the site. They also work on any coding (e.g. PHP) requirements for the game servers or any other areas within 8U, if needed.
Is responsible for devising and implanting marketing strategies and programs. Working with all levels of the admin staff in developing and delivering these programs, e.g. community events, donation packages, blog, podcast etc. Also optimising the website from a marketing perspective. Advises on quality standards of web content as and when it’s necessary. Currently writes and produce the blog and podcast for 8U.
The role covers many areas of digital media e.g. graphics work, live streaming. Is responsible for recording community events and game videos for our YouTube channel.
Is also the chief adviser on recording games videos and doing graphics work for 8U, and will give help and advice to other people within the community who wish to record videos or do graphics work for us. Other tasks include helping to managed the game servers.
Junior Admin – [8U]²
Willing to help seed (populate/start) empty servers on a semi-daily basis and to enforce the server rules. They are usually the first point of contact for most new members. Making sure they invite new members to the community steam group and informing them of the website, forum and anything else of interest.
They work together with the Event Managers in creating new community events and helping to run them. Most of the junior admin will also have their own individual projects to work on e.g. web work, graphics work, testing new maps, research, etc.
